Driveway Pressure Washing in St. George, UT

Most St. George driveways do not get dirty from leaves. They get a mineral tan from red-rock dust, then rust-colored fans where irrigation overspray sits. That is the job.

The problem

Navajo sandstone dust is fine enough to lodge in broom-finished concrete. Mix it with iron in city and secondary water, and you get iron-oxide stains that look like someone spilled rust along the expansion joints. South-facing slabs in Bloomington, Desert Color, and the SunRiver entries show it first because the sun bakes the film on.

A cheap “blast and go” visit moves dust around and etches the cream off the surface. The pink comes back, now in a mottled pattern. We treat this as a stain problem, not just a dirt problem.

The solution

Pressure washing for the body of the slab, then a targeted iron-oxide treatment on the remaining fans. We do not promise a brand-new pour. We do aim for a driveway that looks like concrete again instead of a red wash. Oil is a different chemistry — we say so if your photo is oil, not mineral.

How a driveway visit runs

  1. Cars off, cans off, hose bib available.
  2. Pre-rinse to knock off loose dust so the cleaner can work.
  3. Apply, dwell, agitate the heavy lanes and joints.
  4. Rinse with controlled pressure — not a turbo nozzle on decorative borders.
  5. Spot-treat remaining iron oxide. Re-rinse.

Desert notes most out-of-area washers miss

Secondary-water overspray from lawn rotors is half the stain. If the heads still dump on the apron after we leave, the pink returns. We will point that out. New construction film (Desert Color, Little Valley, Washington Fields) is a different pass than a 15-year SunRiver driveway with furniture rust rings.

Decorative stamped borders and exposed-agg entries need a lighter wand. We would rather leave a faint ghost than chew the stamp.
